# SIM-ONE Alpha Code of Conduct

## Our Commitment

The SIM-ONE Alpha community is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and
equitable environment for everyone who participates in good faith. We value
respectful collaboration across differences in background, identity,
experience, ability, viewpoint, language, and level of technical expertise.

## Expected Behavior

Community members are expected to:

- engage honestly, respectfully, and constructively;
- respect different viewpoints, experiences, and boundaries;
- give and accept technical feedback without personal attacks;
- take responsibility for mistakes and work to repair harm;
- protect private information, credentials, and security-sensitive details;
- credit sources and the work of other contributors;
- keep discussions relevant to the purpose of the project and its community.

## Unacceptable Behavior

The following behavior is not acceptable:

- harassment, intimidation, threats, or unwanted personal attention;
- insulting, demeaning, discriminatory, or sexualized language or conduct;
- publishing another person's private information without permission;
- deliberately exposing credentials, private data, or security vulnerabilities;
- impersonation or evasion of moderation or enforcement actions;
- sustained disruption of project spaces or contributor work;
- other conduct that a reasonable person would consider harmful to the
  community.

## Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to the SIM-ONE Alpha repository, issues, pull
requests, reviews, documentation, project-managed communication channels, and
events. It also applies when someone officially represents SIM-ONE Alpha or
Gorombo in public.

## Reporting

Report possible violations privately to
[contact@gorombo.com](mailto:contact@gorombo.com). Do not open a public issue
for a conduct report.

Include, when available:

- where and when the incident occurred;
- the people involved;
- a description of what happened;
- links, screenshots, logs, or other relevant evidence;
- any immediate safety or confidentiality concerns.

Reports will be reviewed by the project maintainers. Information will be shared
only as needed to investigate, protect affected people, and carry out an
appropriate response. Deliberately false or retaliatory reports are themselves
violations of this Code of Conduct.

## Enforcement

Maintainers may use the following responses according to the severity, impact,
and history of the conduct. Serious cases may skip earlier steps.

1. **Private correction**: A private explanation of the violation and the
   behavior expected going forward.
2. **Warning or limited participation**: A formal warning or temporary limits
   on specified interactions, channels, or project activities.
3. **Temporary suspension**: Temporary removal from project spaces, with any
   conditions required for return.
4. **Permanent removal**: Permanent exclusion when severe or repeated behavior
   makes continued participation unsafe or unworkable.

Maintainers may remove content, lock discussions, restrict access, or take
other proportionate action needed to protect the community. Enforcement
decisions will prioritize safety and confidentiality.
